Drifter House 1: Makenzie Simson- Part 1

Meet Makenzie Simson.

Mac is a beautiful young lady who is creative and neat and who loves the outdoors. She lost her parents to a car accident at a very young age. She lived with her grandma until her grandma passed away two days before her 18th birthday. She was devastated. She loved her grandma very much and they did their best to make it with just the two of them and very little money. When they finished settling all her grandmother’s affairs the lawyer told her that everything her grandmother owned had been sold to settle the small debts they had accumulated over the years but they found a small piece of property in Oasis springs called Agave abode that her late grandfather had put in trust and it transferred to her upon her grandmothers passing. Mac decided she would do her grandmother proud and make the best she could out of what little her granny had been able to leave her. So she set out to find her little piece of future.

It wasn’t much but it was hers and she felt like it had great potential. There was a community garden and several fishing spots in the area and lots of wide open space. She loves the outdoors and is excited about exploring her new neighborhood and seeing what she can find. She decides to get started right away to see if she can find anything to help her gather some essentials.

She tried doing some fishing in the local spots, but wasn’t very successful.

So she decided to explore the neighborhood and gather all the perishables that she could find. She found some stuff she could eat and even had enough of the local flora to sell to the florist shop to get a little money together.

It wasn’t a lot but it was enough to allow her a place to go to the bathroom. And just in the nick of time.

She finds a bench close by and manages to get some much needed sleep.

Day two she actually finds a bunch of really cool dig spots and is able to dig up a whole bunch of neat things.

She takes them to a local shop and is able to sell them for enough money to buy some more essentials. Exhausted and stinky, she manages to get a much needed shower, and nap. Thank Goodness.

She is feeling lonely so she decides to talk to some of her new neighbors that she has seen walking around. She had a talk with the local community gardener.

While she is there she manages to gather a bit more produce to sell and buy a bed. She is able to lay down and get some real sleep for the first time in a long while .

After a great night sleep Mac decides to do some more socializing. She misses her grandma terribly and she decides it would be so awesome if she could meet a nice guy and start a family. After spending so much time alone with just her and her grandma and then by herself she decides she thinks she would like a large family. So she sets out in the neighborhood to see who she can make friends with and maybe even fall in love. The first group she talks to is a nice gentlemen and a new Gardner at the community garden. The guy seems nice but is not really her type.

Then, on her gathering trek she meets nick, and thinks “oh he’s cute, maybe I should get to know him”. So her and nick start talking and getting to know each other.

They stargaze for a while. Mac really thinks she could like this guy. She decides to go home for the night and see how much money she made for the day. She goes to sleep thinking about nick.
